I will attempt to do these adventures justice.

For a very long time I have together with Avrio been traipsing all over the place looking for clues about a man called Stalvan we finally managed to resolve the matter. I found out this evening that Stalvan is not a very nice person in fact his friends tend to be either dead or undead or plagued I am at a loss for words trying to describe the things that surround him.

Avrio and me went there with the best intentions, of killing this man, thereby completing our mission. Upon reaching the place just outside Darkshire on the road towards Redridge Mountains, we quickly realized that we might not be strong enough. As luck would have it a friend of ours Malvett came riding by he quickly agreed to help us. I tried to ask Malvett where he got his mount his answer were not very clear, so I still do not know how to avoid the blisters I secretly weep over each night.

Malvett is a priest just like Avrio but his powers are awesome in comparison, as I am a warrior I have little or no understanding of how the priests do what they do to be honest it scares me somewhat. I like the weight of my two-handed sword, the jolt of it making impact the sheer pleasure of watching my enemy be destroyed by my hand. I am getting a bit carried away here but there is a dark side to me I have yet to fully understand, I actually like fighting with or without weapons the pain someone does to me feeds my desire to destroy even more. So anyway moving on, We found Stalvan hiding in a House I fired a shot at him he came rushing out together with two plague bearing undeads the smell was bloody awful. The three of us quickly dispatched of Stalvan very much due to Malvett’s somewhat incredible powers.

We went back to town and I felt the need of a warm bath and perhaps a yard or two of ale, Avrio reminded me about Mor’ladim I felt weary but agreed to taking the fiend down. Malvett seemed to have nothing better to do so he again offered us a helping hand we went to Raven Hill cemetery where Mor’ladim has been known to roam. As if I did not already know, countless times this foul undead being has attacked me often from behind and swiftly killed me.
They say that “what comes around goes around” I found him rushed in started to hit him with my axe whilst trying to take the most of the hits on my shield, Malvett and Avrio threw their combined forces on him and after what seemed an eternity he went down. I felt my life slowly seeping out of me I was completely exhausted. The reward I received was well worth all the running around and the epic fight, a two-handed sword called Archeus the weight and feel of that sword is just perfect.

My lovely companion yet again beckoned me to do one more thing to kill Nek’rosh, fearing that my nubile priestess to me goddess would find me lacking in determination and courage I yet again agreed. We had to travel a fair bit before we arrived at the location where this threat to the Wetlands could be found. We fought our way to his encampment and at last we found him standing with a guard he stood unaware of the death he would suffer. Avrio and I agreed that I would rush Nek’rosh and she would attempt to dispatch of his guard. I rushed in with my axe and shield taunting him shouting at him, to my left I saw Avrio locked in combat with the guard as always I was amazed at how words and spells can hurt a man needless to say the guard went down. I was taking serious damage from Nek’rosh, my shield was barely blocking his tremendously hard hits. After a while I finally got my opening he tried to cast a spell. I slammed my shield in his face quickly changed to Archeus and started hitting him again and again. Avrio healed me between the spells she threw at him, the panic in Nek’rosh eyes showed and he tried to escape one final fell swoop and he was no more. I sank to the ground begging Avrio “no more I need to rest”

I have another observation, shortly after killing Mor’ladim I felt my self grow stronger I could almost feel the very essence of myself be changed somehow. This has happened on several occasions, it does however take a lot longer now to reach that climax (I have no better word for it, it is a feeling unlike no other) than before. I have witnessed the same change in Avrio she is engulfed in a golden light that is a wonder to behold, after it she also claims that she feels stronger and improved. I still feel that I am not in complete control of my own actions; there are portions of time that are completely lost to me. I also want to know who Pug is and why he insists on sending me items of armour and weaponry. I have been told that he is a member of my guild, I have yet to meet him he is a Night Elf hunter one of my own kind, stories of his life are told on Teldrassil. Teldrassil, will I ever see my home again? I must travel there to walk in Darnasuss is truly to be blessed.

The warriors LIfe

Azeroth, the final frontier these are the voyages of Amos night-elf warrior, his ongoing mission to explore strange new lands and rid this world of all evil.

Every day seems the same to me, all of a sudden I am moving as if controlled by someone else. By my side I have a gorgeous night elf priest her name is Avrio, we are currently running around in a place called Darkshire. My legs are weary from all the running we are doing, for some really strange reason some people have mounts that they ride around on. I have on several occasions tried to buy one but it seems I cant yet something is preventing me from doing so.

I have been given several missions or quests that I have to complete, these toils earn me rewards that I usually sell as they are not good enough for me to use. I am at the moment running like crazy trying to complete such a mission, it is called “The Legend of Stalvan” it seems I have been to the four corners of my known world looking for clues, speaking to people trying to figure out what is going on. The last clue was found in the canal district in a town called Stormwind, I don’t know how many of you have been to Stormwind but that whole place is comprised of canals. Needless to say I ran around in there for better part of an hour, when I finally found the correct place a crate that needed to be opened. Imagine my surprise when an apparition suddenly appeared and transformed me into a sheep. I was so embarrassed; I am a warrior not a sheep. Thankfully Avrio was there to save the day she dispatched the apparition and after a little while I was back to my normal self again. I was hoping that the crate would be the end of this quest but it never ends it seems, we are now on our way to East Vale Logging Company to find yet another clue.

I am still suffering from the after effects from being turned or polymorphed into a sheep my voice sometimes breaks and I have a patch of wool on my forearm still that I want a doctor to look at next time we enter a large town. Another thing that bothers me and scares me a little when I die I turn into a round gaseous form that seeks out my corpse. This happens every time I die, does this mean I will never die?

The situation is becoming……..

I have decided to take this blog in a new direction; I feel that there are many things that have come to pass, that affect the original purpose of this blog.

I started playing WOW about 6 months ago with my wife, thereby the name of the blog. I have now reached lvl 60 with my Hunter my wife has reached lvl 60 with her druid and many friends we have met along the way have reached their ultimate goals in the game. The ever elusive number 60, when you first start out having never played the game you seriously doubt that level 60 is even attainable without buying gold and items through e-bay (something I consider to be cheating). I felt like an acolyte in a religious sect, the lowest level not worth spit.

This is where the game actually began, I meet other bottom dwelling low levels not worth spit and we had fun together. This game is actually not limited to sex, gender or religious affinity. The player’s them- self, those who feel that they are better or smarter than anyone else, puts the only limitations in the game there.

I have found that playing this game I have not only learned things about myself but also about other people and especially my wife. Like I mentioned earlier the blog started out as homage to my nubile night elf druid wife, I now feel that homage should also be showed to my wonderful friends in the guild I am in and those who I frequently play with.

It is my firm belief that without this game and without the “social interaction” within this game my marriage to my wife may well have been over. In playing this game we discovered qualities in each other that we previously had not seen. I now see my wife for what she is, a wonderful woman whom I could not be without. It has also come to my attention that my wife now sees me in a different light as well, what light and what she sees is for me to know and for you to wonder about.

This is the last blog entry I will make that is this emotional and completely devoid of humour. After this my blog entries will be more frequent and in a new direction. If anyone has any ideas about what you think I should write about please let me know.
I am now off to enjoy my weekend together with my wife and my family, rest assured that there will be at least a few hours of wow involved.

"I'm just a jealous guy"

For me as a man it was perfectly normal to create a tall manly night elf, for my wife it was natural to create a tall not so manly female night elf. We chose differnet classes, I chose the hunter class apparantly along with everone else on my server. My wife on the other chose the Druid class. For those of you who play this game it is common knowledge that female night elves are damn sexy and by blizzard quite voloptously created.

What I did not count on was the fact that people actually flirt with female characters in the game, to be quite honest some druids have been known to flirt with my pet cat(broken tooth) called sylvester. I am unsure which freaks me more, the fact that my wife is being flirted with more than a woman on a russian submarine or the fact that she seems to like it. Do not get me wrong here I know this is a game on more that just one level, people escape into their characters and are given the opportunity to act out in ways they never would have IRL(in real life).

I am a man and as such have possesive tendancies when it comes to my wife, not proud of it but there it is out in open I said it and I can't change that. My wife is attractive in real life as well, not only in game and as such I get a bit jittery when I find out that men are comming on to her by the hundreds every month. I know it is only online, but still. After a while I got used to the fact that I had an attractive wife online as well as IRL.

So am I completely over the fact that men are fawning over my nubile night elf godess ? I most certainly am not "I'm just a jealous guy"

Pug lvl 60 Night Elf Hunter

I have been busy !

I am sorry! Los siento mucho ! Förlåt ! Pardon ! ! Scussi ! and now I have run out of ways to say I am sorry in other languages.

I have a perfectly legitimate reason for not blogging, I have been busy.

I am now a proud level 60 Night Elf Hunter, this is off course my reason for not blogging. Is it a poor reason? Yes off course it is. I am not going to defend not blogging; my reckless disregard for all my readers (please understand the sarcasm) is simply unforgivable.

So, what have I learned between my last post and now? I chose the wrong class; I should have been a priest or a warrior. The hunter class is generally a hated class because they have on occasion been known to wipe entire raid parties due to poor pet control and reckless use of the multi-shot. As a priest or a warrior your role in the group is clear, to heal or to hold aggro. The hunter class has a role that is somewhat undefined, they can deal a great deal of ranged damage and can be used effectively as a means to pull mobs. However, due to the fact many mentally retarded, my self not included choose the hunter class, it is a class that is not asked for in groups for instances.

While I am on the subject of mentally retarded people, why is it that stupid people want to be a hunter? They are making me and other good players look really really bad. There are so many classes to pick why not be a paladin? A class that is given three life lines just like in “Who wants to be a millionaire” A class that can wear plate take a huge pounding by mobs and that can heal it self quite possible the most overpowered class after the Tauren Shaman. If you lack the mental capabilities to be a good player please do not pick the hunter class be a paladin or better yet a shaman so I can kill you when I meet you by the crossroads.

Pug lvl 60 Night Elf Hunter
Hellscream Server

Is it normal to think this much about a game ?

I have come to realize that the type of character you choose and perhaps even the professions you choose tend to say a great deal about your offline persona.

My wife and I are both night elves(in Wow obviously, needed to be cleared up just in case some people reading this otherwise might feel a need to call a headshrink). I am hunter she is a Druid, ok so what does this mean ? Well, it has been my experience so far that night elves tend to be helpful and patient with new players and also seem to enjoy the social aspect of this game.

When it comes to choice of character class, it is my belief that your class says a whole lot about who you are IRL (in real life, again explaining to those not smitten). Hunters tend to be more careful and like the fact that someone in this case a pet is watching their back and taking care of them. Paladins like the fact that they are almost indestructible (or they think they are) How many times have you been in a party only to hear the high lvl paladin say or write “I will take them you guys just heal me”. Then he or she rushes blindly into the fray ignoring the hunters plea “but there are more of them in there than you can see WAIT!” so instead of pulling mobs 1 by 1 or 2 by 2, the entire camp of elite gnolls come out and slays the entire party in about 1 minute.

I am not looking to bash any character classes, I am sure that there are level headed paladins out there along with calm warriors. It is just that most people who choose those classes tend to like taking on more than they can bite off. Where as, druids, hunters and mages by virtue of their inability to do so play less aggressively. As I have yet to cross over to the dark side I cannot comment on how the horde classes behave. The whole horde alliance thing is another blogg post entirely I think.

Wow unlike any other game I have ever tried, opens up a completely new world of social interaction that I am sure is unparalleled. For those you who are younger and those of you whom might have girlfriends or boyfriends that simply don’t get why you are logged on to a game for 4 hours a day, (I am being generous with time here) simply say “I so immensely enjoy the social interaction that this game provides me with”.
You see parents and partners tend to prick up their ears when you use a powerful sounding phrase like “social interaction”

So, if anyone is actually reading this feel free to comment on my ignorance or misconceptions but please, please be kind with regards to my unwitting slaughter of the English language.

Pug (still) Level 29 Night Elf Hunter Hellscream

Sleep is overrated ?

If I had to find one problem and one reason for dismay, with regards to online gaming and specifically Wow it would have to be the impact it has had on my sleep. I am fairly certain that this game could be used by CIA or MI5 to create sleep deprevation in prisoners being prepared for interrogation, while keeping in accordance with the Geneva convention.

For some unfathomable reason, time is greatly accelerated whilst playing this game, I sit down by my computer around 8 pm and the next time I look at my watch the time is way past my bedtime usually around 1 am in the morning. I rememeber having a bedtime, I stopped having a bedtime at 15 I think. However, having a job and the responsibility of children I need to get up at least 06:45 every morning. This means that I am only getting around 5 hours of sleep, and as I don't take any drugs(apart from coffeinne) I am slowly beging to feel the effects of three weeks of Wow. There are some people that probably get by on 5 hours of sleep. I am not one of them.

I am slowly but surely becoming a zombie, I mindless drooling drone that goes to work, goes home, eats dinner and logs on to Wow. So, like any addict I have denied my addiction to the game. I keep making excuses, when it should be plainly obvious to anyone in my imediate vicinity that I am a junkie.

So to my question, is sleep overrated ? well yes at the moment it is, I am having to much fun with this bleeding game to simply give it up or play less just because I am slowly becoming psychotic and paranoid from the lack sleep.

Pug Level 29 Night Elf Hunter Hellscream

World Wifecraft ?

I have been an online hardcore gamer for a very long time and my wife has never understood my need for space and privacy during my counterstrike matches or public practise.

Then a strange and curious thing happened, I told my wife that I was going down the store to buy WOW(World of Warcraft) imagine my surprise when she said "can you get me copy as well ?" I went down to the store feeling stunned by the whole experience, bought two copies went home told my wife that there will be a monthly cost for the game and that it can only be palyed online( a part of me knowing that most women dislike fixed costs that can only be viewed as unecessary) To this my wife said simply "yeah I know"

So to the actual gaming experience, I am sure that I will surprise many gamers of the male sex when I say that playing with your wife or spouse takes gaming to a whole new dimenssion. I have never enjoyed gaming as much as I do now. We use a voice communication software called Ventrilo, and if a there is a relationship psychologist reading this I can recommend this as a remedy for any lack of communication between any couple. Not the software but gaming together.

I will post further blogs concerning this and other online gaming experinences continually.

Pug lvl 28 Night Elf Hellscream
